Wyatt Brody is the law in a lonely town, and something unwelcome has just joined him there. Something that’s after the town’s children. Something that hides behind the faces of the people he knows and protects. Friends become dangerous. Enemies become lethal.
He finds help in Claire Hensley, whose talent lets her read a face the way he reads a crime scene. But their suspect has an insatiable appetite and an intellect to match. And it knows the best place to hide: in plain sight.

“…unnerving horror intercut with a dry, almost sickly humour.”

“The death isn’t just death; it’s frequent, soul-wrenching, mutilating, disturbing death.”
“This book was like a vasectomy for my mortal soul.”
“If you crave or welcome the unthinkable, this one is for you.”

Shame the Devil is a horror novel. It’s pretty violent. Apparently it is disturbing enough that some folks who know me and decided to check it out (against my fervent expostulations) saw fit to stop talking to me altogether. I hope it disturbs you at least as much.

An audiobook of the novel is available, narrated by yours truly. I warn you, I have poor diction. I spent more time editing the vocal tracks of this audiobook than any vocal performance I’ve ever recorded. But the story is so incredibly awesome, you won’t even notice.
“Well written, well read. Delves beautifully into the subconscious for horror-tainment – which is what horror does at its best.”
